I love speaking to students about writing. In my one-hour program entitled, "My Life In Books," I emphasize research, editing, and the process of making a book from the beginning idea and research to the final product. The program includes a PowerPoint presentation that helps illustrate the points I am making, but is the background, not the focal point.
- Program: My Life In Books.
- Content: Introduction to my family (all of whom work in children’s books), poetry reading, pictures (power point), the step-by-step process of the making of a book including research and editing, concluding with Q&A.
- Price: $750 per day (4 one hour programs for any size group—classroom to auditorium) plus travel expenses.
